today was a long long long day..travelled literally from the west to the east for teachers' mass lecture today..it was my first time attending and the word 'lecture' did not appeal to me much..throughout the whole lecture, i guess i only perked up upon hearing the words 'arts education', 'music', 'drama', 'integration of arts into subjects' and a few more words linking the arts to subjects..for the rest of it..i just stared forward and stoned there..

after that i had to rush back to sch for night study at the library, being like a security guard at the library, looking after the sec 4s who were studying..luckily pang was there too..when my mom fetched me back, i had to head to a friend's house to pass something..and actually my mom has saw that person before but then again..due to the dim or poor lighting, the person looked 3 tones lighter..once we drove off, my mom said 'what a good looking friend you have'..i was surprised..this conversation was taking place again..she chatted happily on my friend on the way home while i just listened..upon reaching home she went to my dad n said 'your daughter has such a good looking friend'..blah blah blah n both parents were talking like they knew my friend really well..i just stood there n stared..n when i thought the conversation was finally over..my mum said 'he even called me auntie..so polite'..hmm..huh?!?!n the dodo friend claims that his fever is subsiding with all the compliments..unbelievable lar!!

everytime the subject of uni comes up, i will get annoyed at the biasness of my parents..it has nothing to do with age but rather the uni in particular..i remember posting something (or did i not) about my sis going to uni and my parents were insistent of her going to NUS..well she is in NUS now n my dad is super proud of her..to me its just nus..nothing really that prestigious..but to my parents its so prestigious..being one of the uni's ranked 16 in the world or something like that..point i got upset about? 'aiya you are going to uni sim only not nus..pay for your course fees yourself'..yes i was told that..its not about the money..i can pay for myself but rather 'its just uni sim'..unbelievable..n i'm going to study is all because to get that piece of thick paper at the end of the 3 years to show it to my parents n so that i will not be classified as a GEO 2..

today is a strange day..i'm feeling slightly down..the empty feeling was extremely evident today not sure why also..i had the chance to take various walks around school today, admiring it from a different point of view..n i settled into various 'beach' spots to look around..yes today will be a long one n i can't get that feeling out..i dowan to talk to anyone cause i will be grumpy n i also have no mood to talk..oh well..i need rescuing
