seriously being a teacher is very tiring..in sec sch i always wonder why our dear teachers sleep so early..now i know..i can hardly make it after 11 now argh..seriously sch has been very slacking?pupils are pupils and well i really thank God to be given this school..shall elaborate fully below..

day 1:went to sch smiling haha..saw all the other new teachers and we had a meeting with the VP who was in charge of us..there were all together 20 new teachers!!9 trainees from NIE and the rest were new teachers deployed to the sch..after a really short briefing, the VP said all the new teachers will head to the 2nd level to take flag raising ceremony and i thought all the teachers would be there so i happily went along..actually nope its all the new teachers who were standing there while all the students are at the ground level looking up at us..so embarrasing!!it was nice singing the national anthem and taking pledge again..soon the VP called us one by one and we actually had to step forward and wave to the sch..so one by one every teacher did that and the worst thing happened..when the VP called my name and announced that i would be teaching music, the sec 1s and 2s were clapping so loudly and cheering..i think the cheering caught me offguard and the principal was like looking at the VP wondering wad was going on and the VP seriously didn't know as well..so the students cheered for so long and all the new teachers were looking at me wondering who i was..at first some of them thought i have taught at the sch before but i was like no lar..never even stepped into the sch before haha..anyway i didn't realise wad the cheering was about until today when i asked a teacher and she said the sch didn't like their music teacher as they would make them sing scales going up and down the whole time and the poor boys always cannot reach the notes haha..so they are actually glad to have another teacher who would do different things with them..anyway my CT was not available on the first day as all sec 1s and 2s are involve in SYF and NDP so they went to the stadium to practice and i was left to do my own things..glad to make some friends and i like the canteen food!its really nice and cheap haha..

sch facts:there are no malay or indian students in my sch unless they learn chinese..there is only special and express stream..all the girls who have long hair must tie 2 plaits..and they bow to greet teachers..very polite sch i would say..

day 2:CT was missing again..only managed to catch her at the last min and she said she will see me today cause she needs to go for NDP so i was left alone again..of course i went exploring around the sch and chatted with my fellow trainees and annoy them hehe..anyway today i did relief teaching for 2 classes!!a sec 3 and 4 classes where the ratio for the sec 4 class was 30 boys and 7 girls..boys will be boys..very cheeky..they were like 'miss chia i know which sec sch u are from..' then i said 'ya?'..and they answered 'ya u are from crescent girls cause u are wearing a yellow shirt'..haha i was like laughing and they were guessing my sch which they couldn't get it..actually they were given work to do but they were complaining that the teacher has not taught them the chapter yet so how were they suppose to do the worksheet!!so i was like ok just do the first 2 pages and well they sat in groups..talk lots of rubbish and did their work..while i walk round and make sure everyone was doing something..of course its not so angelic..had to shout for them to get seated,lower their volumes,isolate the naughty ones and make sure they are not sitting with each other..then i went to the sec 3 class and it was worst..apparently all the trainees who got that class for lessons also commented bout how naughty they were..boys ratio were much higher then girls also..however this class, boys were playing bball,cards and listening to audio devices..actually i didn't allow them to play cards but they said the previous relief teacher allowed them to play and their stupid english teacher came into the room while i was relieving and 'scolded' me for allowing them to play..i dislike this english teacher..he sits right in front of me and acts as if the whole world owes him something..he said dont let the kids bully me..i wont and i was like commenting saying that the previous teacher allowed cards and he was like no cannot n stuff and acted cool..argh..but i like relieving classes cause at least i got something to do..

day 3: could not find my CT again..the whole sch was out again so stayed in the staff room and slacked i think..i suddenly couldn't remember wad i did seriously so shall move on

day4: finally met my CT!!she gave a one hour speech which wasn't very important seriously..asked me to read a file and thats bout it..of course i did relief teaching again..this time to a sec 2 class..this was not a very bad class lar just that the boys were rowdy and somehow better to control..and they thought i was there to teach maths:) managed to get the SYF tickets for shu..after sch went to meet min and shu and headed off to great world zara where the sales started..got caught in a human jam while waiting to try some clothes but all 3 of us ended up with no purchase..thats good in a way!went to meet gelly at holland v where we went to settlers and played games the whole night..was very very tired..but managed to survive and it was nice just catching up with the girlies over some games..we should do this more often..reached home at 10 plus and now that i have sch its like considered late?cause i will be super tired but strangely i only slept at 1 due to some inconvenienced caused.

day5:finally!!!!!its the end of the week..i was so happy that i was smiling the whole of today..there was some discipline problems this morning cause member of public complained and wow the discipline mistress did her job and really screamed..was made to do relief for the same class yest for the 1st 2 periods so i had to spent time with them in the court yard and later heading to class to explain to them the seriousness of wad actually happened..boys were sniggering bout it and i didn't give chance..the rest of the day i read some files..talk to friends..photocopied lots of things and sch ended!!yay..no sch for 3 days..thats the best..shall have every inch of sleep that i can :)

i feel like i am living in one house but with 2 different sides..on the first side, we live with our dad and on the other side we live with our mom..sadly the riff has not been settled yet and i hate it..i long to escape it everyday for as long as it is settled..which i seriously hope its soon..

went shopping with dot and lynn yesterday!had a gd time relatively..went to sch before that first to watch platform concert..had special guests from tian jin conservatory of music..was in my best behaviour haha..met yiwei at the mrt station..but after concert it was shopping time!!bought a few tops..shu came along later as well..was quite disappointed at first when i saw that there was a mango sale but only for VIP..but after dinner at around 810 shu shu pointed out that the VIP sale was only till 8 so means after 8 the public could go in!!haha..we were like mad ppl going in and rushing for clothes too!love it..managed to get a top in the process..shu managed to get a few tops too..went home satisfied i would say..now all i need are pants and shoes..seriously expensive though..and i part with my money not daring to look at how much i have left in the bank..not forgetting the huge hp bill to pay cause of the calls i made during the germany trip..argh..can't stand it..

today went to teach and ended up giving one of the students a scolding lecture instead..well i was slightly late in meeting francis, frederick and natalie at the piano sch where they will be using the piano for the exam so thus needing to try out the piano..was stern with them today cause exam's approaching and if they want to score well which they can then more effort must be made in pracising..

why are we like strangers now?thats the question i wanna know.

this is the last week of slacking and fun..starting from next week, the torturous waking up at 530 to get myself to nan hua..and it will last for 4 weeks..hope i wont go tired easily..i called the principal today, who is forever not in his office, so well managed to speak to the vp whom my aunt knows..very nice man i would say..dont even need to go for the staff meeting this week cause he says anyway its irrevelant so well just need to report on monday before 730 and find him..was suppose to teach today but student is a horrible child who keeps cancelling and thinks i wait by the phone to teach her only so she can change and cancel anytime she wants..well too bad nope..so here i am at home slacking with absolutely nothing to do..

one issue has been constantly on my mind..is it wise to be an innocent child?one min we were great friends and the next min we became polite friends..from knowing lots of things to knowing nothing..sadly..somehow it wont go back to the way it used to be..i've tried but if the other party is not willing i can't do anything bout it also..i'm sad bout it cause we were good friends but now..argh..

on another note..dearest woodstock is back from her various holidays..from paris to here and there..lucky girl..however she is a super busy girl..better meet up soon before she suddenly disappears again then suddenly when u call her she will say she is in dunno which country haha..

it happened again..this time it involves things being thrown around the house..parents..they can be super annoying..this morning my parents quarrelled over some food my dad wanted to give my aunt..my mom disagree and the quarrel errupted and there was verbal abuse going round..gosh..this happened like 5 mins before we were all suppose to go out?ultimately mom walk out and me and my sis went out with my dad..darn..last sunday like that..today something similar..going out later myself..can't stand it

yay...i've been posted to another school!apparently new town doesn't have a music teacher so thus i am posted to nan hua high school..somehow its a better sch BUT school song is in chinese..pledge is said in chinese once a week i think so means..more chinese for me argh..luckily i called new town yesterday to check how come they have not called me for school meetings n stuff..then they said i was posted to nan hua and that i should call nie..was seriously panicking man..but well its all settled..just need to call the principal next week..

yesterday was gelly's graudation..seriously very proud of her..winning so many awards and it was really hilarious to see her bow..i was laughing non stop haha..after the ceremony we had a nice buffet reception which the food was good..took lots of pics..which i'm waiting for dear gelly to send to me..after that me, shu and gelly headed to sch's tcc and slack down there..went to sch for a while and later headed to bugis village with gelly where she managed to get her shorts!after walking round the whole day in the stupid shoes..finally home..

this morning i received a msg which made me very happy..dear lizzie is coming back in july after all!!!i'm really excited..can catch up again and we can go on our food trails..that was the only thing which made me happy this whole day..stayed at home and read..went to aunt's house for dinner..food was good but company was bad..but well..it concludes my day..

had a boring day..went to teach and the student didn't even open the door..well she fell asleep and so i am still getting paid..went walking round tiong bahru plaza..realise there are quite a few shops there that sell clothes gd enough for teaching..gelly called and chatted with her a while and headed home..ya well wad a boring day:(
